  • Scenic Drive to Govindghat: Enjoy a picturesque drive through the Garhwal Himalayas. The route will take you via several significant towns and confluence points, including Rishikesh (the Yoga Capital of the World), Devprayag (confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers to form the Ganges), Rudraprayag, and Joshimath. Each turn offers stunning views of rivers, valleys, and quaint mountain villages.
  • Transfer to Pulna Village: Upon reaching Govindghat, you will transfer to Pulna village, a distance of about 4 km, typically covered by a local jeep or shared vehicle. This is the starting point of your trek.
  • Trek to Ghangaria (10 km): From Pulna, you will begin your invigorating 10 km trek to Ghangaria. Ghangaria serves as the base camp for both the Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib. The trail is well-defined, offering beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and forests. Porters and ponies are available for hire at your own expense if needed.
  • Evening Arrival & Check-in: Arrive in Ghangaria by evening. Check into your pre-booked guesthouse or hotel, which will provide basic but comfortable accommodation suitable for trekkers.

  • Early Breakfast & Trek Start: After an early breakfast, you will commence your trek to the magnificent Valley of Flowers. The trail from Ghangaria to the Valley is relatively easy and well-marked.
  • Explore the Valley of Flowers: Spend your day exploring the breathtaking Valley of Flowers. This lush alpine meadow is a vibrant tapestry of colors, especially during the monsoon season (July to September), when thousands of wildflowers are in full bloom. You will encounter a spectacular array of rare flora and fauna, including the famous Himalayan blue poppies, vibrant anemones, primulas, and various exotic butterflies.
  • Photography & Panoramic Views: The Valley offers countless opportunities for photography, with its stunning natural beauty and panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. Remember, camping is not allowed inside the Valley of Flowers to preserve its delicate ecosystem.
