Itinerary
Your first day begins with your arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport. Our representatives will pick you up at the airport in a luxurious private car and take you to the hotel. The hotel will be a 5-star hotel with luxury facilities. You can rest for the night.
We will take you sightseeing in the Kathmandu Valley the following day. However, we will only be able to cover the major tourist attractions sights including the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. You will be fascinated by the historical and religious heritage sites like Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Bauddhanath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, and many more.
In the morning, after breakfast, we will take off for Lukla. Lukla is also said to be the gateway to the Khumbu and Everest Base Camp trek. The flight will be of roughly 45 minutes, but you’ll enjoy the spectacular aerial view of the Himalayas.
Once we get there, we will begin our trekking journey to Phakding. We’ll be following the trails of the Dudh Koshi River to get there. Getting past numerous Sherpa monasteries, we will reach Phakding to rest for the night.
Today, after breakfast, our walk takes us through a beautiful pine forest next to the Dudh Koshi River, traversing many suspension bridges. Besides, you will reach the serene viewpoint to witness Mt. Thamserku (6618 m) after crossing the check post. Namche Bazaar is the biggest sherpa village in Nepal, where we will spend our night at a lavish lodge.
After trekking for five days, we’ll be pretty exhausted, so we’ll be having a day’s rest in the settlement of Namche. Your body also needs to adapt to climate, pressure, altitude, and surroundings changes.
There are several opportunities to explore the region starting with a short hike to the Everest View Hotel. Moreover, there are memorials of several mountaineers along with the historical memorial of Tenzing Norgay Sherpa.
One can also visit nearby monasteries and shop in the exquisite market for souvenirs. In addition, there are historical museums to explore more into the culture of the Sherpas of this region. At night, we’ll stay at the lodge.
Our trail to Tengboche will lead us to two of the largest village in the Khumbu Region, Khumjung, and Khunde. Khumjung is also where Sir Edmund Hillary established a school and a hospital. You can explore the village to learn more about his charity work.
Moreover, we will follow the route to Everest to reach Tengboche. You will cross the paths along the trail of Tenboche Monastery. Once we get there, you can rest in a comfortable lodge room.
Today, the trekking journey will start with an uncomplicated downhill, but we will slowly climb upwards. After very little climbing, we will pass through a landslide zone. After walking for a few hours, we’ll arrive at Dingboche, where we’ll stay overnight.
After trekking for days, we’ll be pretty tired, so we’ll be having a day’s rest in Dingboche. Your body also needs to adapt to climate, pressure, altitude, and surroundings changes.
The following day, after breakfast, we will continue our journey through the snow-capped cliffs of Cholatse and Tabuchi. Khumbu Glacier’s moraine will lead us steeply up the mountainside. We will find memorials for Sherpa climbers who died on the peaks as we hike. Our next destination will be Lobuche, where we will spend the night after walking through the valley for a few hours.
After enduring hardships and dedication, you will finally reach your dream destination, the Everest Base Camp. To reach Gorakshep, however, you must cross the Khumbu Glacier. As you continue your hike, you will encounter rocky terrains and icefalls.
It will be worth it once you see the stunning mountain range from the Everest Base Camp. We’ll be descending to Gorakshep to spend the snowy night.
Starting with an early morning climb, we will reach Kala Patthar within 3 hours of climbing. When you arrive here, you’ll see beautiful views of the mountain habitat everywhere you glance.
In the background, you will see the breathtaking Khumbu Glacier, while up above, you will see Everest, Nuptse, Changtse, and Lhotse mountains in full glory. Again, we’ll stay overnight after descending our way back to Pheriche.
Now, we will start our return journey from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar. The trek will be full of ups and downs as we descend through rocky trails. On the way, we’ll have lunch at Tengboche before coming across the rhododendron forest again and reaching Namche Bazaar, where we’ll spend the night.
Today, on our way back, we will pass through using the dense pine forest. In addition, the route then descends again to Lukla, where we will reach following the Dudh Koshi river. Passing through the dense rhododendron forest, experiencing more of the park’s flora and fauna, and crossing several villages, we will reach Lukla and celebrate the victorious night.
Finally, you’ll return to Kathmandu as we end our trekking journey. After around 40 minutes of the flight back to Kathmandu, you’ll arrive at your comfy hotel, where you can rest for the day.
Once we get to Kathmandu, you’ll need a day to relax and explore the city. So, we will leave you to explore on your own. You can walk the lighting streets of Thamel and party, buy souvenirs, and many more. All in all, you can relax or celebrate your successful trip to Everest.
Our beautiful journey to Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek will end on the sixteenth day. So, you’ll be returning home after a long yet excellent trek, and we’ll drive you to the Tribhuwan International Airport regarding your scheduled flight.
