How does Ganesh Himal trek starts and ends?
The Ganesh Himal trek typically starts from Syabrubesi, a quaint village about 7-8 hours from Kathmandu by road as you embark on this journey. The trail winds through lush rhododendron forests, terraced fields, and picturesque Tamang villages, allowing you to witness the traditional way of life in the Himalayan foothills.
The trekking route offers a range of altitudes, with highlights including the Pangsang Pass, Sing La Pass and the Ganesh Himal Base Camp. Itinerary
On the first day of your trip, you arrive at the Tribhuwan International Airport. We will receive you from Tribhuwan International Airport. From here, we will drop you at your comfy hotel, where you can get refreshed. You can also explore the nightlights of the city.
The following day, we will take you sightseeing in the Kathmandu Valley. We will only be able to cover the major tourist attractions sights. You will be fascinated by the historical and religious heritage sites like Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Bauddhanath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, and many more.
We commence our adventurous journey after early morning breakfast. We will go by local transport out of the valley, along the pleasant parkway that heads toward the north. The incredible views en route include streams, terraced fields, towns, and sights of the mountains on crisp mornings. The drive to is moderately lovely to Trishuli Bazaar. The road then bends roughly as it rises to Balche, our last goal.
Now, we will start our trekking adventure, starting from Rupchet. On our trail, we pass through Thulo Kharka, where we stop for lunch. Next, we will climb to Rupchet and stay for the night.
We will now trek along with the high country from Rupchet through the late spring pasture of Himalayan cattle. Ultimately, we ascend to a pass with terrific perspectives, Singla Pass, the high point of our trek, with great views of the encompassing region, including the Annapurnas, Manaslu, and the west Ganesh Himal.
We will then cross pine, rhododendron, and oak forests, passing an incredible waterfall and a religious community before reaching the fields of the towns of Shertung and Chalis Gaon.
We will rest for the day in Chalisgaon and explore the village. There are many ethnic villages nearby where you can go for an interactive visit. We will have discretionary climbs to an adjacent typical hot spring over the valley with developed riverside pools where we can drench our stress away.
We descend through a rich valley and across a stream. The course winds up on bright stone strides worked by the KadoorieAgri Aid Association and British Gurkhas of Nepal. The trail goes through the attractive village of Tir while in transit to the pleasant towns of Rachyat Gaon and neighboring Kapur.
Today we will pass through an extraordinary rural region. We continue trekking through Laphchyat, a charming Gurung village. Crossing the Lapa Khola on a box bridge, we will ascend along a field.
Above Laphagaon is Kading, one of the largest Gurung settlements in the region. The homeowners are welcoming and enthusiastic about performing cultural dances with traditional music.
The following morning, after breakfast, we will descend to Chyamchat. The route continues through local villages, paddy terraces, and the forest to finally arrive at Kutawal for a lunch break. We continue our journey via Tawal to Ri Gaon. Ri Gaon is a large settlement of mostly Tamang and Dalit inhabitants.
For most of today’s climb, the course goes through Bhramin and Dalit towns and lower, fertile landscapes with bounteous terraced paddy fields and a great, open valley. In the end, touch base in Phulkharka Gaon, a substantial Brahmin settlement. We will have a short pause for lunch along the way.
The trail takes us to the Ankhu Khola river, crossing numerous towns. The altitude of our journey is comparatively lower now, and the temperature will gradually get hotter. Jyamrung Durbar is a historically critical area as it was the previous home of the regional King.
Moreover, the hundreds of years old royal residence can be seen. It is a marvelous place to take in the spectacular dawn, nightfall, and general mountain viewpoints of the Langtang, Ganesh, and Manaslu ranges.
Finally, we reached our last day on the trekking trails. We will climb via Dodke Danda to Dhading Besi, which will take about two and a half hours. It is a beautiful climb down across a lovely area of wilderness, prolific fields, and charming towns.
Then, we will drive through the pleasant field to Kathmandu. The drive offers a good look at the views of the local farmland of Nepal. The transport does one final climb, and we are back in the valley of Kathmandu.
After a successful trip to Upper Dolpo, you deserve a day to yourself. On this day, you will spend your time in Kathmandu city. Moreover, you can explore the culture and have fun.
Your 14-day trip successfully ends today. So, you’ll be returning home after a long, exhausting, and excellent trek. Today, we’ll drive you to the Tribhuwan International Airport according to your scheduled flight.
