Trip Introduction

Joint Treks Of Langtang And Poon Hill is often called “the valley of glacial masses“ and is a beautiful place. You get to see mesmerizing snow-topped mountains and massive glaciers.

Dominated by Mount Langtang-Lirung (7246 m) and located at a distance of just 19 miles to the north of Kathmandu, this valley offers pine woodland forests, serene mountain streams, lush green slopes and an overall enjoyable experience. You can also climb Kyanjing Ri (4900m), if you wish. This is a non-technical climb that can be done by trekkers without any previous climbing skills.

After finishing with Langtang, we will start to trek back through the magnificent hills, until we reach Syabru Besi where we will take our private vehicle to Pokhara.

Starting near Pokhara, the Poon Hill trek is perfect for those who don’t wish to walk for long hours, and still wish to enjoy all the wonders of a mountain trekking experience. Most treks in this tour take place at lower elevations and are less demanding. Our expert guides help you at every step along the way and make sure that your Nepal adventure is unlike any other.

As Poon Hill Trekking is mostly known as Poon Hill Panorama Trekking for it’s mesmerizing panoramic view of Dhaulagiri Mountain Range, Annapurna Mountain Range, Lamjung Himal, Manaslu, Ganesh and several other Himalayan peaks.

Whether you are hiking up or back down back to Pokhara, you will be surrounded by picturesquely terraced slopes, warm villages, beautiful paddy fields, and wonderful culture and lifestyle of ethnic people like the Gurungs and Magars.

We can assure you that you cannot stop telling people back home about the quality time you spent during this trekking.

After breakfast we will go to see the famous attractions of Pokhara which are given below:

    World Peace Pagoda
The pagoda is a massive Buddhist stupa and is built on top of a slope on the southern shore of Phewa lake. Other than being an amazing sight in itself, the sanctum is an incredible vantage point which offers breathtaking perspectives of the Annapurna range and Pokhara city. You can get there by intersection the lake by watercraft and afterward climbing up the slope. you canalso drive close to the top of the hill.

    Bindbyabasini Temple
Bindhyabasini sanctuary is the focal point of religious action in the old bazaar. It is committed to goddess Bhagwati, an alternate appearance of shakti or power.

    Devi’s Fall
Mainly known as Patale Chhango (Hell’s Fall), Devi’s fall (otherwise called Devies’ or David’s) is a wonderful waterfall lying about 2 km south-west of Pokhara air terminal, on the expressway to Tansen. An intriguing current legend says that a nonnative named Davie was skinnydipping in the PardiKhola (waterway) when the conduits of the dam were opened, clearing him into an underground section underneath the fall, never to be seen again.

    Barahi sanctuary & Phewa Lake.
After lunch,we will go for boating in Phewa lake, which is the most famous lake in the country. Roughly measuring 1.5 km by 4 km, Phewa is the center of attraction in Pokhara. The charming lake is a pure play area. Brilliantly painted wooden vessels and sailboats could be leased on sensible cost around lakeside.

The eastern shoreline of the lake, prominently known as Lakeside or Baidam, comprises of apparently interminable segment of hotels, restaurants, bookshops and trinket shops. One of the entrancing parts of lakeside is the amazing perspective of the mountains, particularly when the still water reflects the tops, making a two fold picture.

After visiting the major places of Pokhara we will go to prepare for the trekking. After preparation you may rest or go to visit the city.

  • Day 8: Pokhara-Nayapul to Ulleri (1050m) 5 hours

n this day of the trek, its a 2-hour drive in a private vehicle from Pokhara to Nayapul (1050m). From Nayapul we start our Poon Hill panorama trek.

Covering many picturesque views of northern hilly region of Western Nepal, we ascend through various alpine forest, bamboo forests and grass and shrub-lands.

Tonight, we stay over-night at Ulleri, a very beautiful and serene town with folk culture which will provide you an tour-gasmic experience along with its very refined hospitality.

  • Day 9: Ulleri-Ghorepani (2850m) 5 hours

As we leave Ulleri, a town of glistening views, culture and hospitality, we walk along the trail made out of stone all the way to Ghorepani.

We walk with Annapurna on our right and wild flowering forest and wet soiled hills at our left. As you go along, it sometimes feels like the way has a never-ending series of stoned steps and you may want to admire those who might have built it.

As we arrive to Ghorepani (2874 meters/9429 feet), an ancient-looking village wrapped-up in the abundance of services and facilities you wouldn’t have imagined to get in a village like this. It’s the best the time to tell your friends, families and loved ones about your trip and how much you want to forget everything and just settle here.

But it doesn’t just end here, we are here only on the way…. staying only a night. And tomorrow morning shall be the liveliest times you have during this trek.

  • Day 10:  Ghorepani-Tadhapani ( 3210M) 5 hours

Early in the morning (at around 4 or 4:30), we head up to Poon Hill, to a viewpoint to get a panoramic view of the Himalayas. You will also be able to see mesmerizing sunrise from this place.

After an hour up-hill walk in the cold breeze, sipping coffee/tea, looking at the sun rising over Dhaulagiri Mountain Range, Annapurna Mountain Range, Lamjung Himal, Manaslu, Ganesh and several other Himalayan peaks, seems nothing less than magnificent.

After this we trek back down to Ghorepani and have breakfast. After breakfast we continue our journey back to Tadhapani, a place towards Pokhara. With such a bewildering view and the craving to stay a few more days in Ghorepani we head ahead placing the whole Annapurna Range on the right and some steep hills behind.

Once we reach Tahdapani, you might want to get some rest and then time for dinner.

  • Day 11: Tadhapani-Ghandruk-Pokhara (1950m) 5 hours

Wake up early today to appreciate the sunrise – which isn’t any less spectacular here than you see at Poon Hill, with less crowd and a cold breeze. After we enjoy a picturesque morning with a lovely breakfast at Tadhapani, we head towards our last destination.

Now its only a 3-hour ride in a private vehicle from Ghandruk to Pokhara leaving several beautiful landscapes and clear-water rivers behind.

We will then take rest in our hotel in Pokhara.

  • Day 12: Pokhara to Kathmandu(900m) 6 hours
